Planned Parenthood Stands with Sabrina Cervantes for Assembly

Eastvale, CA – Planned Parenthood Action Fund of the Pacific Southwest announced their endorsement of Sabrina Cervantes today. Support from the politically influential health care organization gives Cervantes’s campaign a boost of momentum as it heads into the opening day of the California Democratic Party’s annual convention.

Darrah DiGiorgio Johnson, President of Planned Parenthood Action Fund of the Pacific Southwest, released the following statement in announcing the organization’s endorsement of Cervantes:

“Planned Parenthood Action Fund of the Pacific Southwest is proud to endorse Sabrina Cervantes. She is committed to protecting and expanding access to reproductive health care services for women and families throughout California. We know Sabrina will be a strong voice for women’s health care and protect a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions in the Assembly.”

Sabrina Cervantes is a lifelong Riverside County resident, who serves as the District Director for State Assemblymember Jose Medina. In that role, Sabrina has worked with local stakeholders and community partners to help expand access to higher education, strengthen our regional economy, protect the rights of workers, improve the delivery of government services, and safeguard the natural beauty of our state.

Prior to joining Assemblymember Medina’s office, Sabrina served as a Director for the California Voter Registration Project. Her history of community involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors for the UCR Chicano Latino Alumni Association (CLA), and the non-profit organizations TruEvolution and Women Wonder Writers.

Sabrina holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with a minor in Public Policy from the University of California, Riverside, and she completed an executive education program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She lives in the City of Eastvale.
